The shortage of skilled professionals is one of the greatest challenges facing the exhibition industry. The Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry is changing the game by investing in professional education and the next generation of industry specialists.
The exhibition and trade fair industry is a complex ecosystem where precision in design and efficiency in installation determine success. Recognising the growing difficulty of recruiting qualified personnel, PCEI launched the MONTER EXPO project at the request of, and in cooperation with, companies operating in the sector.
This unique initiative was created for exhibition stand builders and design companies that need skilled professionals with practical, job-ready competencies.
Our goal was not simply to provide training, but to introduce systemic change. In cooperation with the Construction and Wood Technology School Complex in Poznań, we have established two new professions within Poland’s official vocational classification. This marks the first step toward professionalizing the industry’s workforce on an unprecedented scale.
This program focuses on practical skills in the installation and dismantling of exhibition structures, as well as working with modern exhibition systems.
This program prepares future team leaders and technical coordinators by combining engineering knowledge with event operations and project management skills.
The heart of the project is Poznań, a city with the strongest trade fair tradition in Poland. Here, at the Construction and Wood Technology School Complex on Raszyńska 48, students develop their skills under the guidance of experienced industry professionals.
