The Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry (PCEI) made its presence strongly felt at Forum Branży Eventowej (FBE, the Event Industry Forum), held on 14 January 2026 at EXPO XXI Warszawa.
The Chamber was strongly represented among the exhibitors – by as many as 9 member companies. An equally large group of experts from our companies attended the event as participants and speakers. A special item on the programme was an Oxford-style debate, in which Ewa Woch, President of Targi w Krakowie, took an active part.
Record attendance and synergy between industries
This was a record-breaking edition of the event, ultimately bringing together 250 exhibitors and 4,002 participants. FBE provided irrefutable proof that the services of the exhibition industry and the event industry are fully complementary. Stand construction, technical production, logistics, modern multimedia, catering and space management are competences that flow seamlessly between the exhibition hall and the event venue. We work together, complement one another and jointly build the quality of the Polish meetings market.
The power of talking in person
Although modern technology makes it easier to stay in touch, the Forum proved once again that nothing can replace a face-to-face meeting. No video conference or exchange of e-mails will generate the energy that can be felt in a handshake and a conversation over coffee. No offer in PDF format will be as convincing as the chance to taste the catering for yourself or to watch an artist perform live.
Poland in the spotlight
The event was an opportunity to look at our market from a global perspective. One of the guests taking part in the expert panel was Nick Dugdale-Moore, Regional Director at UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry). The presence of a representative of the world's most important exhibition organisation confirms the view that the Polish exhibition and event industry is in excellent shape.
Anniversaries and relationships
FBE also provided the setting for the launch of the “Hej Kraków” initiative, of which Targi w Krakowie is a part, and an occasion to celebrate. It was a great pleasure to congratulate the Targi w Krakowie team in person on the 30th anniversary of the company's operations. Three decades on the market are the best proof of remarkable resilience and the ability to adapt in business.
Thanks
Our presence at FBE would not have been as impressive without the support of our Partners. Our special thanks go to Minkoncept for creating our meeting space and to BWS EXPO Plus for their partnership support and for being present on the stand all day. We also thank the host, EXPO XXI Warszawa, for its hospitality, and congratulate the organisers on the professional preparation of the event.
We come back with one key conclusion – the strength of the meetings industry lies in its integration.
