During a ceremony held in Warsaw, the Minister of Sport and Tourism, Sławomir Nitras, presented nominations to the new Members of the Council of the Polish Tourism Organisation (POT), after which the Council convened and elected a chairman from among its members.
The Council chose Tomasz Kobierski, Chairman of the PCEI Council and President of Poznań International Fair, the organiser — jointly with the Polish Chamber of Tourism — of the largest international tourism trade fair in the country, ITTF in Warsaw.
The powers of the Council of the Polish Tourism Organisation include adopting the annual financial plans presented by the President of POT and POT's annual and multi-annual action programmes, approving reports on POT's activities, laying down the rules for remunerating POT employees and the qualification requirements for them, as well as giving opinions on the candidates for President and Vice-Presidents of POT selected in a competition.
The Council of the Polish Tourism Organisation also has the right to present opinions and proposals on all matters concerning the activities of the Polish Tourism Organisation.
Our warmest congratulations!
