Targi w Krakowie looks back on 2025

What was 2025 like for Targi w Krakowie? Bold, intense and full of premieres – a year which proved that the company not only keeps up with the pace of the industry but sets its rhythm itself. The result? 20 proprietary events, more than 3,000 exhibitors and 160,000 visitors, as well as over 60 congresses, conferences and special events held at EXPO Kraków. On top of that came prestigious awards, collected as far as 8,000 kilometres from Kraków, confirming the scale and quality of the company’s activities. The past months have clearly strengthened the position of Targi w Krakowie as one of the most important event organisers in Central Europe – ready for further challenges.

Premiere of Camper & Adventure Expo

For the company, 2025 began with the premiere edition of Camper & Adventure Expo. The first edition of the event attracted the interest of more than 7,000 enthusiasts of caravanning, the outdoors and active tourism, confirming the growing interest in this form of leisure and the need to create a dedicated space in southern Poland for this dynamically developing industry. A shared passion for travel brought exhibitors and visitors together, creating excellent conditions for networking and the exchange of experience. During the two-day event, visitors had the opportunity to see, among other things, the latest models of 4×4 off-road campervans, off-road vehicles and a wide range of caravanning and outdoor accessories.

Growing presence of visitors from abroad

The year 2025 saw a clear increase in the number of foreign trade fair participants. At the 28th International Book Fair, 531 exhibitors from 21 countries presented their offer, while the 8th International Trade Fair for Fastener and Fixing Technology FASTENER POLAND® welcomed guests from as many as 36 countries. The trade fairs proved particularly popular with visitors from Slovakia. Thanks to its convenient geographical location, well-developed infrastructure and rich cultural offer, Kraków is a focus of interest for Slovak entrepreneurs and professionals. This trend was particularly visible during the International Dental Trade Fair KRAKDENT®. For visitors from Slovakia, the trade fair was above all an opportunity to discover new companies and products not yet available on the Slovak market, as well as a chance to establish valuable business contacts and exchange experience with Polish and international exhibitors.

Prestigious awards

Targi w Krakowie won many awards this year, including two statuettes in the MP Power Awards competition: in the multi-purpose venue category for the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Kraków, and in the trade fair category for the 30th International Dental Trade Fair KRAKDENT® in Kraków. In the same competition, EXPO Kraków took 1st place in the audit carried out as part of the MP Power Awards® in the MP Power Venue section! This is not only a great distinction but, above all, confirmation that the quality of service at the venue is of the highest standard! The greatest success, however, was winning the UFI Marketing Award for the marketing campaign of the KRAKDENT® trade fair – the first distinction of this kind ever awarded to a Polish trade fair company. The award was presented during the congress of UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry in Hong Kong. A further achievement was the recognition of the same campaign in the EVA – Event Visionary Awards competition organised by Media Marketing Polska.

Publication of the sustainability document

In May, Targi w Krakowie published its sustainability policy document, which presents the solutions implemented that confirm the company’s commitment to environmental protection, transparency and social responsibility, and also describes good practices that may serve as a signpost for the entire meetings industry. The dynamic changes taking place in the meetings industry, visible during the numerous trade fairs, congresses and events organised at EXPO Kraków, which is visited each year by nearly 200,000 guests from all over the world, mean that sustainability is becoming one of the key factors in consumer choice. The exhibition industry must therefore actively respond to the growing expectations of the market, and MICE leaders must not only act in line with the adopted policy but also set new standards in this area.

Launch of the book “Sekrety Polskich Winnic” (Secrets of Polish Vineyards)

In November, the International Wine Trade Fair ENOEXPO® in Kraków hosted the launch of the book “Sekrety polskich winnic” – the first title from the Targi w Krakowie publishing house. The book is a collection of eighteen engaging stories about how Polish wineries came into being, how bankers, sailors and businessmen in love with wine turned into professional winemakers, how old former German stables filled up with tanks and barrels of wine, and how the entirely new phenomenon of Polish wine tourism was born. The publication grew out of the cooperation between ENOEXPO® and the authors – Michał Bardel, a wine journalist and head of the Wine Research Centre at Civitas University, and Karolina Morawska – a historian and author of numerous scholarly publications on medieval culture, who lectures on the history of wine at Civitas University.

Change in the position of President of the Management Board

In the middle of the year, after more than three decades of work, Grażyna Grabowska, co-founder and long-standing President of the Management Board of Targi w Krakowie, retired. The position of President was taken over by Ewa Woch, previously Vice-President, who is continuing to develop the company in line with the needs of a dynamically changing market. Paweł Nikliński continues to serve as Vice-President of the Management Board, while Małgorzata Borowiec, a Board member since 2020, has been promoted to the position of Vice-President of Targi w Krakowie. Marcin Bugajski remains in his existing role as a Board member.

What next?

2026 promises to be extremely interesting. Targi w Krakowie will celebrate its 30th anniversary and introduce new events, including the International Trade Fair for Sport, Recreation and Healthy Lifestyle SPORT EXPO and the International Trade Fair for Drones and Anti-Drone Systems DRONE SECURITY EXPO. The company’s calendar will feature both well-established events and those that made their debut only recently. There is sure to be something for everyone, as Targi w Krakowie organises events for practically every sector: publishing, dentistry, industry, gastronomy, automotive, entertainment and many others.
