“Kraków is in our hearts”. Targi w Krakowie honoured with the Honoris Gratia badge

Targi w Krakowie Sp. z o.o. has been honoured with the prestigious Honoris Gratia badge, awarded by the Mayor of the City of Kraków to individuals, institutions and organisations that have rendered outstanding service to the capital of Małopolska. The distinction is an expression of recognition for the 30 years of work by Targi w Krakowie to develop and promote Kraków and build its image.

During the Forum Turystyki (Tourism Forum) in Kraków, the badge was received from Stanisław Mazur, Deputy Mayor of the City of Kraków, by Ewa Woch, President of Targi w Krakowie, and Paweł Nikliński, Vice-President of Targi w Krakowie. Explaining the award, the Deputy Mayor emphasised the significant contribution of Targi w Krakowie to the economic, social and promotional development of the city, and the company’s role in strengthening Kraków’s position as a modern, open and attractive business centre.

“The work of Targi w Krakowie has made a lasting contribution to promoting Kraków as a modern, dynamic and investor-friendly city. The events it organises reach beyond the city and the region in their standing and impact, strengthening Kraków’s recognition in Poland and abroad,” Stanisław Mazur emphasised during the ceremony.

In his speech, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Kraków also drew attention to the company’s more than 30 years of uninterrupted work for the Kraków community and its consistent creation of space for dialogue, the development of industries and the integration of business, academic and cultural circles.

“This is a great honour for us and an extremely moving distinction. For 30 years we have felt part of Kraków’s tourism community and we want to continue to play an active part in its development. We are delighted that the City has recognised three decades of our work – demanding, but bringing real results and successes in promoting Kraków. It is a source of pride for the entire Targi w Krakowie team. The badge motivates us to keep developing and creating events that strengthen Kraków’s position as an important meeting place for business, culture and tourism,” said Ewa Woch, President of Targi w Krakowie.

For three decades, Targi w Krakowie has been organising international events that attract hundreds of exhibitors and tens of thousands of guests from Poland and abroad every year. The company organises, among others, the International Book Fair in Kraków®, the International Dental Trade Fair KRAKDENT® and industrial trade fairs such as the International Trade Fair for Processing, Storage and Transport of Powder and Bulk Materials SYMAS® & MAINTENANCE and the International Trade Fair for Fastener and Fixing Technology FASTENER POLAND®. The company is constantly developing and modernising the format of its events, responding to market needs and setting the direction for the development of the exhibition industry. Targi w Krakowie is also the owner and sole operator of the EXPO Kraków International Exhibition and Convention Centre – a modern, multifunctional venue suited to hosting a wide range of events: from trade fairs and congresses, through galas and banquets, to film and television productions. Within a decade, EXPO Kraków has become one of the most important points on the event map of Europe.

The award of the Honoris Gratia badge is a symbolic tribute to the many years of work by Targi w Krakowie for the city and a confirmation of the company’s significant role in building Kraków’s position as one of the most important exhibition and congress centres in Poland.
