Elżbieta Roeske to become President of the Board of EMECA

Elżbieta Roeske, Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP, a PCEI member, will take up the post of President of the Board of EMECA (European Major Exhibition Centres Association). It is the most important European institution bringing together the exhibition industry, and for the first time it will be headed by a representative from Poland.

At the General Assembly of the European Major Exhibition Centres Association (EMECA), Elżbieta Roeske, Vice-President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP, was elected President of the Association for 2025–2026. This is another success and another prestigious post taken up by a member of the Management Board of Grupa MTP.

EMECA brings together 25 leading exhibition venues in Europe, many of which are also organisers of events and trade fairs. EMECA members organise around 1,400 trade fairs a year on almost 30 million m² of rented space. Each year they welcome more than 500,000 exhibitors and around 28.5 million visitors in Europe.

At this year’s autumn General Assembly, EMECA members met at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. “The results of EMECA members are always an indicator of the health of the entire exhibition industry in Europe. Despite significant challenges, revenues rose in 2024 and this trend is expected to continue in 2025. This is very good news for the European exhibition industry, although some sectors and countries are seeing less positive trends. EMECA members continually demonstrate their innovativeness, organising new, successful trade fairs for developing markets and attracting external organisers to their modern venues. The outlook for the leading European trade fair organisers and exhibition venues is therefore very positive,” explains Roland Bleinroth, President of EMECA.
