On behalf of Polish Chamber of Commerce, we inform that on October 10, 2018, 751 entrepreneurs representing 28 Member States of the European Union and 18 states from outside the EU will participate in the fifth edition of the European Parliament of Enterprises 2018, the event organized periodically in the plenary hall of the European Parliament in Brussels. The main idea behind the European Parliament of Enterprises is giving European businesses the opportunity to discuss – symbolically at the European Parliment – the most important issues affecting small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the EU and vote – on the pattern of the parliamentary voting – the key resolutions for business.
During the session, participating entrepreneurs, in the role of MEPs, have a unique opportunity to express its views in the process of EU lawmaking, and to discuss with representatives of the European Parliament and the Commission, as well as with other entrepreneurs from EU countries about the problems encountered by European enterprises on a daily basis.
The organizer and initiator of the European Parliament of Enterprises is EUROCHAMBRES, Association of European Chambers of Industry – Commerce, based in Brussels. The organizer of the Polish businessmen delegation which will consist of 51 companies’s representatives (as many of them as Polish MEPs) is Polish Chamber of Commerce.
The programme involves:
- participation in the national program, and meetings with high representatives of EU institutions and representatives of Polish diplomacy in Brussels,
- participated in the opening session and working sessions of the European Parliament of Enterprises as a parliamentarian-entrepreneur,
- debate and vote on key resolutions for business
- the possibility of individual meetings with 751 entrepreneurs representing 28 EU Member States and 18 states from outside the EU,
- luncheon with the participants of the European Parliament of Enterprises and representatives of EU institutions.
Polish Chamber of Commerce as the organizer will provide substantive assistance to entreprenuers interested in the participation in the 5th EPE, the organization of meetings with representatives of the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU, hall rental, the organization of the working meeting, as well as the development and printing of promotional materials of the Polish delegation of the European Parliament of Enterprises.
