Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry has selected the Exhibition Ambassador for the fifth time. This year’s laureate is Krzysztof Żuk, the Mayor of Lublin. The title, which has been granted since 2011, is the token of appreciation of the exhibition industry shown to the persons of business, science or politics, who contribute to the development of the exhibition sector in Poland and the popularization of the concept of trade fairs. The engagement and support of Mayor Krzysztof Żuk made the dynamic development of Lublin Fair possible. – In the recent years the exhibition centre in Lublin has gained new venues, which were developed on the grounds donated by the city. The city also supported the company in the attempts to obtain resources for the construction. Today the Lublin Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre offers infrastructure which allows for the organization of a variety of events: exhibitions, congresses, conventions and cultural events – was the justification of the nomination provided by Przemysław Trawa, the Chairperson of the Jury, President of the Board of PCEI and the Chairman of the Board of Poznań International Fair. What is more, this year’s laureate, in his ongoing activities, promotes exhibitions in Lublin during contacts with partner cities in many countries, and within promotional activities of many economic projects. The meeting of the Jury of the Title of the Exhibition Ambassador was held on May 28, 2015, in Amber Expo, the seat of Gdańsk International Fair, with the participation of Paweł Abramowicz, the Mayor of Gdańsk, the laureate of the title of the Exhibition Ambassador 2013.
