The Extraordinary General Meeting of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry was held on November 28, 2014, in Gniew. The main point of the session was the by-election to the Board of PCEI related to the resignation of Mr. Andrzej Byrt. Przemysław Trawa, who is also the Vice-Chairman of Poznań International Fair, was unanimously elected as the new Member of the Board of PCEI. Andrzej Byrt, President of the Board of PIF, stepped down from the post of the President of the Board of PCEI effective on 31.12.2014. The reason for his resignation is his assumption of the post of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco. Przemysław Trawa has been connected with Poznań International Fair since 1983. He was responsible for managing the Economic Department, and then he worked as the Economic and Organizational Director. Between 2007 and 2009 he served as the Chairman of the Board. Twice he has been the Vive-Chairman of the Board of PIF (in 1996 – 2007 and in 2009 – 2014). The lecturer of the Poznań School of Banking at postgraduate studies in foreign exchange law. Przemysław Trawa was responsible, among others, for the coordination of activities on PIF fairgrounds which accompanied the Polish presidency of the European Council, as well as for the coordination of events connected with the United Nations Climate Summit – COP 14 in Poznań and COP 19 in Warsaw.
