On December 7-9, 2016, Poznań hosted the 8th CONVENTION OF TOURISM EXPERTS. The lead topic of this year’s edition was: INNOVATIVENESS AND COMPETITIVENESS OF TOURISM IN POLAND . The motto of the Convention: cooperation between science and the sector – B+R projects is of special importance for the tourism sector. Combining the potential of science and the sector with the active support of public administration bodies play a decisive role in development of tourism. Social, economic and spatial problems connected with its continued development call for cooperation between science and practice. Participation of science in the process of describing the phenomena which occur in tourism should include undertaking issues crucial for practice and indicating such phenomena in the economic, social and spatial area, which are important for the sector and for the entities which shape the assumptions of the policy of tourism. Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry was represented by the President of the Board Przemysław Trawa who participated in the panel: cooperation in the MICE sector for the organization of meetings and events.
