Tomasz Kobierski, the Vice President of the Poznań International Fair, was elected to the prestigious Board of Directors of UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. On this position he will replace Przemysław Trawa, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Poznań International Fair. The newly elected Member of the Board of Directors of UFI received a mandate for a 3-year term of office after the UFI General Assembly during the 84th Global Congress of this organization in Johannesburg, South Africa. The term of office of the Board of Directors will commence on 1 November 2017. The Board of Directors is the management board of the UFI association. It is comprised of a maximum of 60 members. It takes decisions on the directions of the organization’s activities affecting the international trade fairs. The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry UFI was founded in Milan in 1925. The founders included 20 European organizers of international trade fairs. The Poznań International Fair has been a member of the organization for 90 years. The UFI initially saw its main goal in the development of cooperation between European trade fair organizers, and over time began to expand its activities beyond the Old Continent. The association currently has 740 member organizations in 85 countries around the world. More than 950 international trade fairs proudly bear the UFI-approved label, which serves as a guarantee of quality for visitors and exhibitors alike. Tomasz Kobierski – a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the Poznań University of Economics. Since the beginning of his professional career (in 1998) he has been involved with the Poznań International Fair. He served as the coordinator, the head of the Polagra-Food, Drema and Furnica trade fairs and the director of a group of products from the agriculture and food industry and the wood industry.
