On May 6, 2014, Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry will award the title of the Exhibition Ambassador. It is a special recognition through which the Chamber acknowledges the role and engagement of persons from the world of politics, science and business who facilitate the growth of importance of exhibitions in the modern economy and understand and popularize the concept of direct meetings of entrepreneurs during exhibitions, and who also participate in them. The exhibition environment appreciates the role and engagement of people not connected professionally with the exhibition industry who facilitate its development. Awarding the title of the honorary Exhibition Ambassador aims at reaching outside the environment of the Chamber and honoring those who do not receive any financial benefits from the organization of trade fairs and exhibitions but who promote and support their concept. This year’s debate of the Chapter of the Title of the Exhibition Ambassador will be held in Poznań City Office at the invitation of the Mayor Ryszard Grobelny, the last year’s laureate of the Exhibition Ambassador title. Mr. Ryszard Grobelny was awarded the title for his actions which guarantee coherent and strategically planned development of the city and Poznań International Fair – one of the most important economic, social and promotional institutions of the city, a significant shareholder of which is the city of Poznań. This year’s Chapter is composed of the former laureates, i.e. Mr. Waldemar Pawlak – Member of the Parliament, former Minister of the Economy and the First Honorary Exhibition Ambassador; Mr. Wojciech Lubawski – the Mayor of Kielce and Exhibition Ambassador 2011; Mr. Ryszard Grobelny – the Mayor of Poznań and Exhibition Ambassador 2012, as well as the representatives of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry.
