PCEI announces the composition of the Jury of the new contest – the Exposition of the Year

During the meeting in February, the Board of PCEI selected the composition of the Jury of the new contest named the Exposition of the Year. The Jury was appointed for the term of office of 4 years – for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The 9-person composition of the Jury of the Exposition of the Year contest is as follows: 1. Prof. Włodzimierz Bartczak, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Studio of Spatial Organization at the Faculty of Media and Stage Design 2. Prof. Remigiusz Grochal, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Interior Architecture 3. Prof. Jacek Ojrzanowski, Koszalin University of Technology, Institute of Design 4. Prof. Andrzej Wielgosz, University of Arts in Poznań, Faculty of Interior Architecture 5. Izabela Ewa Kwiatkowska, CEO of European Media Group, Poznań 6. Maciej Sobolewski, member of PCEI, CEO of the Tecon Service exhibiting company, Poznań. 9. Przemysław Trawa, President of the Board of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, Chairman of Poznań International Fair, Chairperson of the Jury. The new Exposition of the Year contest is the response to the needs of the market. The formula of the previous contest – the Stand of the Year, successfully organized for almost two decades, has evolved over the years in terms of its principles and the methods of execution. Consequently, this led to the emergence of completely new rules of presenting awards and the scope of the contest expanded beyond the exhibiting sector and entered the event sector. The new contest categories are a complete innovation. Just like before, the companies which design and construct expositions will be able to submit expositions they developed at exhibitions in the finishing calendar year. However, they will be assessed in two separate categories: up to 50 sq. m. and above 50 sq. m. The third, completely new category, will be event expositions developed both indoors and outdoors. Therefore the contest will be open to expositions which were designed and constructed for events other than trade fairs or exhibitions. The meeting of the Jury of the Exposition of the Year 2015 will be held on February 26, 2016, in Poznań. Source: Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, February 11, 2016.
