The annual Winter Convention of the Members of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry was held on 28-29 November, 2013. This time the participants convened in the historic mansion complex of the Sarmata Hotel in Sandomierz. In the traditional interior of the hotel, over 50 exhibition experts discussed the current situation and the future of the exhibition industry in Poland and in the world. The conference part of the Meeting was devoted to the condition and perspectives of the global exhibition sector. The key presentation on that topic was delivered by Mr. Andrzej Byrt, the President of the Chamber. The special guest of the Meeting, Mr. Károly Nagy of Centrex organization, presented the conditions of the exhibition market in the Central and Eastern Europe. The Convention was also a perfect opportunity to summarize the 20-years of PCEI and the PCEI Anniversary Gala which took place a month before in the Ministry of Economy in Warsaw. An exceptionally interesting seminar for exhibition professionals on new information and audiovisual technologies in the exhibition sector was held on the second day of the conference. The rich program of the Convention also included time for recreation and integration. The participants had an occasion to visit the town of Sandomierz and its dungeons, as well as to taste wines produced by the local vineyards. PCEI Winter Conventions are one of the few opportunities within the year when the representatives of the exhibition sector can meet and work together on the most pressing aspects, problems and plans related to the development of the Polish exhibition industry.
