New exhibition venues in Poland

The Opening of the Exhibition and Congress Center in Opole January 2013 marks the launch of one of the most important business events in Opole region – EXPO Opole – business without borders. This year’s edition was exceptional because it was connected with the official opening of the Exhibition and Congress Center on January 11th. The Gala evening was attended by many outstanding guests from the world of business and science including the representatives of the Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry.
The exhibition area of the Center in Opole is approx 6,000 sq. m. The multifunction pavilion with the area of 2,500 sq. m. offers unlimited possibilities and various arrangements for the purpose of trade fairs, exhibitions and other mass events. The area may be divided into smaller sections thanks to the system of mobile soundproof walls. The pavilion is also equipped with the sound system, a stage with the possibility of expanding to 100 sq. m. including backstage facilities, a projection screen, 3 projectors, 4 simultaneous translation cabins and LCD screens. The offer of the Center also includes a conference room for 200 people with the possibility of dividing into three smaller areas and the outdoor exhibition space with the area of 2,000 sq. m. New events in EXPO Kraków The International Exhibition and Congress Center EXPO Kraków is developing rapidly and it will be opened in the spring. EXPO will be the venue for all events organized by Targi Kraków, i.e. over a dozen regular large exhibitions, congresses and conferences. The calendar of EXPO is also filling with new events. Recently the company has signed the first contracts for the organization of 12 indoor events which will be held in EXPO in the coming three years and the first will take place in May 2014. EXPO Kraków will have 13,000 sq. m. of available space. The flexibility of the used solutions will allow for offering areas for different purposes, adjustable depending on the needs. The venue will also have a parking lot for over 700 cars. The official opening of Expo Kraków will be held on May 14, 2014! Expansion of PIF at full speed Building works hasn’t stopped on PIF fairgrounds but very soon the new investments will be completed. Everything is going according to plan. The most important investment is the new Pavilion 8A. At the moment the works on the cladding of the connector and joining the connector to Pavilion 15 are in progress. Also soon the works on the facade of the Pavilion will be completed. By the end of December 2013 the works on the support structure and the roof cladding of the connector between Pavilions 8, 8A and the Passage will be finished. Works inside the pavilion are in progress as well – the contractor teams are putting in the floor, electrical installation and sanitary facilities. Also partition walls inside are being erected. Very soon ventilation stations, roof lights and smoke vents will be installed on the roof of the Pavilion. It seems that Pavilion 8A will open for business on February 12 for the FURNITURE POLAND 2014 FAIR The cost of the modernization of the Pavilion together with the cost of the connector amounts to PLN 35 m. Since the beginning of 2009, Poznań International Fair has invested over PLN 150 m in the development and modernization of the fairgrounds.
