He popped the question and she said yes: the LOVE between exhibitions and events on the Global Exhibitions Day 2016. The former deal with the stereotype of pious businesspersons and the latter with the opinion of party animals. So far this hasn’t been a problem in working and doing business together until yesterday… when the exhibition industry and the event sector in Poland decided to ‘formalize’ their relationship and show everyone how close they are to each other. According to statistics of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, on average Poland holds one exhibition per day and more that a half of them is accompanied by events. Therefore exhibition and event sectors have more in common than meets the eye. In order to prove this, on June 8, the Global Exhibitions Day, Warsaw hosted a meeting of the largest Polish exhibition companies, associations and the MICE sector to talk about common projects, new enterprises and popularization of good practices. And since every love story must have its protagonists, the following persons stood at the altar of shared business projects: Magdalena Kondas, the editor in chief of MeetingPlanner.pl, who has been organizing and promoting events for many years now, and Przemysław Trawa, President of the Board of Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry and the Head of Poznań International Fair. To show that the two sector are very close and that they both care for the professionalization and integration of the industry, the couple changed they relationship status on Facebook. All the best to the ‘bride and groom’. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the fruits of their cooperation! Source: Polish Chamber of Exhibition Industry, May 9, 2016.
